The Challenge
In Nigeria's healthcare system (country in focus), it was discovered that the majority choose not to consult a doctor when they fall ill, as they consider their time too valuable to be spent on non-severe ailments. Moreover, the outbreak of COVID has greatly compromised the healthcare system's integrity worldwide, as hospitals and healthcare facilities have transformed into breeding grounds for various strains of the virus, eagerly waiting to infect as many individuals as possible.
The goal
The goal of this app is to take healthcare away from the hard-to-reach hands of the hospitals, down to the hands of the patients in need of a fast, accessible and quality healthcare system.
Process
Research & Analysis: I conducted user interviews, surveys, and analyzed in-app analytics to understand the pain points and user needs. We also studied competitor apps and industry trends to gather insights
Information Architecture:
Wireframing & Prototyping: I designed low-fidelity wireframes to visualize the new layout and navigation, iteratively refining them based on user feedback. Afterward, I built a high-fidelity, interactive prototype to test the design.
Usability Testing: I conducted usability tests with a diverse group of users to validate the design and identify areas for improvement. Based on the feedback, we made necessary adjustments to the design.
Visual Design & Style Guide: I developed a cohesive visual language, including color schemes, typography, and iconography, ensuring consistency throughout the app. I also created a style guide to maintain design consistency in future updates.

Conclusion
In conclusion, during the development of this solution, I've realized the significance of ongoing user consultation at various stages of the design process, as well as the importance of streamlining user actions to enhance their overall experience.
